Anti-Slip Texture with VR® Footwear Products
When developing our protective footwear products, special attention was given to traction in wet environments. Many solutions to the problem were considered, including treads, rubber coatings and solid additives.
Our solution maintains the integrity of the VR® barrier by using a special fabrication method that provides texture to the product without the need for additional materials. The texture we’ve integrated into our barrier material is akin to the adhesive traction strips found on exterior walkways around the world.
Many users turn the texture to the inside—against the sole of the shoe or boot—for best traction in slippery environments. This gives the sole of the shoe a firm grip on the VR® footwear. Others use it with the texture on the outside depending on footwear and flooring surface conditions.

VR® Boot Covers
- Made with gritty anti-slip VR® material for enhanced traction.

VR® Thigh-High Boots
- Continuous coverage from foot to high on the thigh for protection from fluids and contaminants.
- Flexible 4 mil blue leggings bonded with double heat seals to our gritty anti-slip 4 mil clear Shoe Covers.
- A full 34 inches long from the sole to the elastic top opening.
- Elastic is encapsulated at the ankles and top securing the fit and preventing slide down.
- Works comfortably when layered over scrubs or street clothes and under other protective outer wear.
